I’m a 20-something-year-old raised in Central New York. I grew up in a decent house, filled with art, music, and killer food – although we were vegetarians for a good 8 years. The first few years of my life were spent looking out of a wooden box, stationed between the front seats of my parents van as we travelled to art shows throughout the northeast. As years passed my art show life became my second life, with a different cast of characters and situations growing nearly every weekend.

My parents took me to Europe when I was about 14. We went to Paris, the south of France, and London. Some years later I’d return to London where I spent a semester studying film. Some years after that, while I was a journalist in New Hampshire, I’d travel once again with my parents to Europe. In all, I’ve seen quite a bit of Western Europe and the northeast of America. I spent about four years as a newspaper reporter.

In 2007 I returned to Syracuse, NY and started working at a fine dining restaurant as a cook. In high school and college I worked with food in several capacities, cook, server, pizza delivery jerk, dishwasher. A real passion for food erupted immediately following graduation from college, when I moved to Granville, NY – my first gig as a paid reporter. It was a lonely time, but I started cooking a lot, writing a lot, and constantly figuring out what was next.

So this website is an attempt to show my passion for food, writing, travel, film-making, music, and all the other wonderful things life has to offer.
